During your consultation we:

• Avoid Blood Thinners (24–48 Hours Before)

  To minimize bleeding and improve pigment retention, avoid:

  • Alcohol

  • Caffeine (coffee, energy drinks, excessive tea)

  • Aspirin

  • Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin)

  • Naproxen (Aleve)

  • Fish oil/Omega-3 supplements

  • Vitamin E

  • Ginkgo biloba

• Stay Hydrated

  Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment. Well-hydrated skin responds better to the procedure.

• Avoid Sun Exposure

  Avoid tanning, sunburns, or prolonged sun exposure for at least a week before your appointment.

• Pause Active Skincare Products

  Stop using the following around the treatment area 5–7 days before your appointment:

  • Retinol or Retin-A

  • Tretinoin

  • Glycolic acid

  • Salicylic acid

  • Chemical exfoliants

  • Strong anti-aging products

• Avoid Facial Treatments

  For at least two weeks before, avoid:

  • Chemical peels

  • Microneedling

• Botox & Fillers

  Schedule Botox or fillers at least 2 weeks before or after your PMU appointment unless advised otherwise by your provider.

• Do Not Wax or Tint, Avoid:

  • Brow waxing

  • Brow threading

  • Brow tinting

  • Brow lamination

  for at least one week before your brow appointment.

• Avoid Heavy Exercise

  Avoid strenuous exercise immediately before your appointment to reduce excessive circulation and sensitivity.

Immediately after the procedure, the treated area may appear darker and more intense. This will soften as the skin heals over the next 7-10 days. Slight swelling or redness is normal and will subside within a few hours. It's essential to follow the aftercare instructions provided to ensure proper healing.

Aftercare is critical for optimal results. Follow these guidelines:

• Keep the area clean and dry.

• Avoid heavy sweating, swimming, and direct sunlight for at least 7-10 days.

• Do not pick or scratch the treated area as it heals.

• Apply the recommended ointments to keep the skin moisturized.

Permanent makeup is called "permanent" because the pigment is tattooed into the skin and is designed to last. While the color may fade, the pigment remains in the skin. Removal is possible, but since the pigment is placed beneath the dermal layer, it is meant to be long-lasting.

We use sterile equipment and high-quality pigments primarily organic-based formulations. "organic" in PMU does not mean natural, plant-based, or chemical-free, it refers to the chemistry of the colorants (carbon-based compounds).
